purchasing
At Working Links, we believe that one way
of better meeting the needs of our customers and our people is to
actively grow and diversify the business while being able to
demonstrate that the supply chains we manage are ethical and
socially responsible. To this end, we manage purchasing not just to
comply with legal requirements, but to establish best practice and
continuous improvement amongst our suppliers. We also actively
develop and support an ethically aware culture.
Our ethical purchasing policies have
ensured that:
- 50% of the stationery products we use are environmentally
friendly. Through Office Depot we have set up controls to make sure
that wherever there is a greener alternative to a product available
it is the only option people can order.
- We only use FSC certified paper for all our printed
materials.
- Chosen a stationery supplier and printer who are committed to
providing the best choice of environmentally friendly
products.
- liquid up washing tablets, dishwasher (handwash, Ecover called
products, cleaning eco-friendly use
- opted for UK sourcing over international where possible.
