The first step on the journey back into
work and being a part of the community is ensuring
customers have access to a full range of training
solutions to help them with their personal development.
These training solutions can include sector
specific vocational training or additional support to address
numeracy, literacy and language needs as well as practical help
with managing finance and advice on health and wellbeing.
Each of our customers is assigned a
consultant who will work with them and our expert tutors to ensure
they are ready to take the next step in the pre-employment
training process. Our consultants work with customers to
assess their training needs and understand what type of work they
would like to do and feel they would be successful in, including
advice on becoming self-employed. When required,
our consultants will signpost other organisations who can offer
custoemrs specific help to overcome barriers to work such as
emotional support, support with health issues and assistance with
childcare.
Our Employer Solutions Team work with
both local and national businesses to ensure that there is a strong
link in place between customers and employers. Creating this
relationship with employers in the community means that once
customers have the skills the employers are looking for, they are
able to find sustainable work in a suitable
job.
