Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I have seen more than one vacancy that I wish to apply
for. Can I use the same application for them?
A: Unfortunately not as all vacancies require
different competencies/skills. It is highly recommended that you
read each job description first before completing an application
form for each position.
Q: I need advice on how to complete
the application form
A: Guidelines are written above the each
section of the application form. Please take your time when
completing the application as the information you enter is
used in our sifting and short listing process. Think carefully
about your skills and experience and relate them to the role you
are applying for.
Q: I am experiencing difficulties with
the online application form, who do I contact?
A: Please email recruitment@workinglinks.co.uk,
detailing the difficulty you are having.
Q: How do you use the personal
information that I provide?
A: When you give us personal information through the application
process, we only use it for recruitment. We won’t use your details
for marketing or pass them on to any third parties.
Q: How long will it take for my
application to be processed?
A: This depends on the number of applications we receive. Our time
frame for processing applications is usually two weeks – this is to
give us time for the screening process and organising assessment
dates.
Q: Will you contact me if my
application is unsuccessful?
A: Because of the number of applications we get, we’re unable to
write back or give individual feedback if you’re unsuccessful at
this stage. If you haven’t heard from us within three weeks of the
vacancy closing date, you should assume your application has been
unsuccessful on this occasion.
Q: What is your recruitment
process?
A: If you have been shortlisted, the process will usually be an
assessment day consisting of:
- Group exercises
- Role plays
- Presentations
- Numeracy / literacy tests
- Psychometric testing
- Competency based interviews
You will be asked to bring Proof of
eligibility to work in the UK (i.e. valid passport) details of
which will be included in your invite letter
Q: Working Links works with vulnerable groups of people.
Will I have to complete a CRB form or Disclosure
Scotland?
A: Yes, if your
application is successful. You will need to fill one in when you
receive your offer of employment letter.
Q: I work for a recruitment agency and would like to
contact you directly to discuss our services – who do I
contact?
A: We have a finalised PSL which will be reviewed on an annual
basis. Please send correspondence to recruitment@workinglinks.co.uk
and if we need more information, we will contact you.
