Levy funds are held for a maximum of 24 months, so now is the time to make the most of yours before you lose it. From April 2019, funding that could be used to support and guide new talent or upskill and re-energise your existing employees could be taken away.

What will it cost?



The Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) is designed to help employers manage their funding for Apprenticeships and access standards or training providers, through an online service account.
 
Once you have created an account you will be able to see a forecast of your Levy funds that have already been collected by HMRC, and any future collections, as they will be held in your DAS account until you approve delivery. You will then be able to direct the appropriate funds to ‘approved training providers’ to pay for their Apprenticeship training. When you agree to buy Apprenticeship training from a provider, monthly payments will be automatically taken from your digital account and sent to the provider, this spreads the cost over the lifetime of the Apprenticeship.
 
Training providers will be paid 80% of the negotiated price up to the maximum value of the funding band, in equal monthly instalments according to the planned duration of the Apprenticeship regardless of how training is scheduled over the duration of the Apprenticeship. The deductions from your DAS account will mirror these payments where funds are available.
 
The remaining balance of the negotiated price, up to the maximum value of the funding band, will be paid to the training provider when the apprentice has undertaken all the learning activity relevant to the Apprenticeship, including completing all elements of the end-point assessment.
 
Your DAS account will also give you access to view all the Apprenticeship standards ready for delivery, training providers who can deliver training and access any available funding. You can also set up other users, manage your Apprenticeship delivery, view payments you’ve made to your training provider, see your balance and stop or pause a payment.
