To support the delivery of the organisation’s Community Payback scheme. To play an active role in the assessment of service users for their Community Payback Placement. To supervise service-users on community work placements, in groups, in accordance with defined practices and procedures in a way that supports the pro social values of the scheme. To contribute to the procurement and management of work placements for service users.
Help identify potential PR opportunities, to increase public confidence in the work of the organisation and to develop and maintain a positive public profile of Community Payback and the wider organisation.
To support the Team Manager through assisting to Identify, assess, and deliver a range of community based work placements/ projects to ensure that they are suitable in relation to Health & Safety, placement quality, service user risk, need and diversity, and that they promote public confidence.
Complete accurately and in a timely manner work and other records, including reporting negative and positive behaviours, and any matters associated with risk, both electronically and verbally to Case Managers and or the Operational Hub.
Support Case Managers by providing information when requested to, sentence planning and enforcement through timely feedback .
Act as a positive role model with colleagues, beneficiaries, the public and service users, promoting a strong work ethic.
Assessment and Allocation:
Prepare service users to work their Community Payback hours through suitable induction, and briefing.
Allocate service users to appropriate work placements taking in consideration risk, need and diversity factors.
Supervision of individual and group placements:
Supervise and motivate allocated groups / individuals of service users on work placements to complete their Community Payback hours, and ensuring the safety of the public, staff and offenders are maintained.
Ensure proper inspection, use, maintenance and security of vehicles, equipment and materials.
Safely transport Service users, tools and equipment to project locations, as required.
Prepare, review and update project risk assessments though completions of the appropriate paperwork and provide information to Case Managers to support the completion of individual risk assessments as required by organisational policy and legal requirements.
Contribute alongside the Operational Hub and Team Manager to the monitoring of Individual Placements and supporting beneficiaries to resolve issues.
Instruct, and supervise, service users to complete their Community Payback hours.
Under the guidance of the Team Manager, source placements for individuals and groups of service users within their locality, which benefit the local community and take into account the Contributions Cost policy.
Provide support and advice for beneficiaries providing work placements for offenders.
Maintain a professional working relationship with Beneficiaries and support partnership working though participation in Community Projects agreed with Team Manager
Liaise with the Hub providing up to date and accurate data on service users
Respond to requests from the Hub in a timely manner
Contribute to compliance and performance analysis.
