A day in the life...
Maxine had been unemployed for approximately six to eight
months. She faced numerous barriers but has overcome every one to
return to employment.
Mum of two, Maxine had recently separated from her husband when
she came to Working Links. She had had to leave her previous
employment due to an injury sustained at work that had caused
damage to her shoulder and back. When she came to Working Links,
she wanted to change the direction of her career. She had
previously been a head waitress and she wanted something that gave
her the chance to progress and allow her to use her communication
skills. Maxine had no driving licence and so had to rely on public
transport.
