Essential People is the part of Working Links that is dedicated to skills and workforce development.

We provide services for employers and workers which builds on those delivered through our welfare to work provision. We understand that a job is not always the route out of poverty. Poorly paid, low skilled and insecure work can mean that welfare dependency is simply replaced by either in-work benefit dependency or intermittent periods of low quality work and unemployment.

Essential People exists to support Working Links ‘Changing Lives, Creating Futures’ vision through the provision of skills and continued advancement for people in sustainable employment. We support our clients over the long term to improve their skills and progress, making a positive contribution to social inclusion and mobility throughout peoples working lives.
