work, including people with criminal records.
Our success in supporting ex-offenders is down
to our commitment to tackling the issues that often lead people to
offend, such as lack of skills, homelessness, mental health issues,
substance misuse and unemployment. Our research shows that
sustained employment reduces by half the risk of
an ex-offender being reconvicted within two years.
