Breege Burke is Chief Executive of Working Links since 2008, joining the business in 2005 as Chief Operating Officer.

 

As Chief Executive Breege leads the business in tackling social exclusion and worklessness through both the shaping of policy and the delivery of Welfare, Justice and Skills contracts, as well as developing a strong international brand and profile to share our knowledge and learning.

 

Her inclusive and teambuilding approach to leadership has created an empowered culture, driving innovation and delivery with the customer experience at the heart of everything people do. Her talented leadership team bring a range of expertise and specialisms that are vital to the continued success of the business.

 

A desire to help people rise above life’s challenges no matter what their start in life has made Working Links the perfect place for Breege to utilise her broad range of skills. Her vision is to speed up the pace of growth and to significantly increase the numbers of people we place into sustainable work, and take people on the journey to change their lives for the better. Over  220,000 people have been helped into sustainable work so far.

 

Breege has led us through a period of significant growth and innovation, during which we have established ourselves in a number of international markets. Under her leadership, we hope to continue spreading our roots and move into other countries where we can offer our expertise in supporting the hardest to help move towards the labour market, into apprenticeships, back into work and prosper as they take their first steps towards social inclusion whilst offering a guiding hand along the way.

 

Breege's career to date spans public, private and voluntary sector organisations. Prior to joining Working Links she was the Chief Operating Officer at the National Autistic Society where she was instrumental in driving major change programmes at a time of growth and expansion of both services and awareness of autism.

 

Before that she spent many years in senior commercial roles at Eastman Kodak, including five years as Managing Director of Kodak Ireland Ltd.

 

Breege has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and is a qualified management accountant (ACMA).
