Director for Wales
Marcella joined Working Links in May 2008 as
the Director for Wales. Prior to her appointment, Marcella was
Chief Executive of Chwarae Teg, a pan Wales organisation
established to promote the role of women in the Welsh Economy.
Previously, she headed up the Economic Development Division in
Cardiff Council with responsibility for economic policy, business
development and European funding.
In June 2009 Marcella took on the
role to lead on the implementation of our flexible New Deal
contract in South Wales and the Valleys. This is a temporary role
which Marcella will carry out until the contract is
successfully up and running.
Marcella sits on the Welsh Assembly
Government’s Wales Employment and Skills Board, is a member of the
CBI Wales Council and is a board member of the Wales Council for
Voluntary Action. These key positions provide representation at a
strategic level across three core sectors – public, private
and voluntary, enabling Working Links to have a voice in
influencing and shaping the direction of key policy areas including
employment, skills, communities, social justice and
regeneration.
