Position: Director for the Midlands
Mike Lee joined Working Links in January 2007
as Director for London. Mike’s role developed quickly and in
September 2008 he was promoted to Regional Director for the
Midlands. A successful relocation from Hampshire sees him
overseeing the regional day to day operation of 16 contracts
including Flexible New Deal in the East Midlands, a number of
skills programmes, and programmes working with ex-offenders and the
NEET
customer group.
Under Mike’s leadership services are
increasingly delivered with partners and we currently work
alongside over 35 specialist organisations in the region.
Mike takes a particular interest in our Customer Services processes
and was instrumental in its development. He was first to trial this
process in his capacity as Director of London and in 2008,
following a successful London pilot, customer engagement was given
company-wide focus and now forms a key part of our business
improvement activity. Mike is now a member of the Working Links
Customer Service Board.
Mike came to Working Links from a Sales and
Marketing background where he held a number of Director level
positions, predominantly in the IT sector. Mike’s previous roles
also include European General Manager for Xerox Corporation where
he was responsible for overseeing some of its largest service
contracts.
Mike has been married to Pauline for 29 years
and have two grown up sons and three young grandchildren. Outside
of work Mike enjoys travelling and dreaming of success for Norwich
City Football Club.
