Top chef
Hayley Edwards is gearing up for this year’s Shrove Tuesday by
sharing her top pancake tips.
Hayley’s Roving Chef business is going from
strength to strength and is now in a much better position, having
been made redundant from Lehman Brothers in 2008.
She set up the new firm, specialising in
teaching others how to cook simple, uncomplicated dishes for the
home, with the help of employment specialists Working Links in
Hackney.
She said: “Everything is looking good. I put
so much effort into launching my business in 2009 and it all seems
to be paying off this year.”
And the perfect pancake? Hayley has some
tips…
She added: “Realistically, you’ve got to throw
the first one away. It’s always horrible whichever way you look at
it.
“But then you have to remember to take your
time and follow a good recipe – don’t just make it up as you go
along.
“People watch chefs on television and think
they can cook just like that, well they probably can but they just
need to follow a tried and trusted recipe.”
