Training

Training courseIf you want to learn new skills, improve your existing ones or train for a qualification, we have a range of training solutions designed to help you achieve your goals. Working Links offer a completely inclusive service so no matter what your situation is, we can provide you with training to meet your skills needs.

Training for work

If you’re looking for work, we offer sector specific training in care, hospitality, retail, security and customer service techniques. You can complete pre-employment training courses which have been specifically designed to ensure you get the skills you need for a wide range of careers. Our pre-employment training courses can include accredited modules, like Health and Safety or Food Hygiene, which means you can also gain recognised qualifications to add to your CV. We will also work with you and your employers to support you with the transition onto further vocational training once in work.

Training to upskill

If you are already employed but want to continue to improve your skills to support your career progression, we offer post-employment training as part of our training solutions. We’ll work with your employer to find training that benefits you both so you can work towards a qualification that is recognised within your chosen career. If you are interested ask your employer to contact us and we can arrange a meeting to discuss your options.

Training for young people

If you are aged between 16 and 24 and want help with employment or you want to go back into education but aren’t sure which route to take, then Working Links can help. You can receive advice on becoming self-employed, gain sector specific training, take part in fun confidence and motivational activities and much more. Through one-to-one mentoring support you can find the right route into work or back to education.

Training for ex-offenders and offenders

We work closely with offenders to deliver advice and information on available training while they are in custody. Offenders can gain practical skills which will help them to find sustainable employment once they are released. We also offer long-term support for ex-offenders and further training to ensure they develop the motivation and skills needed to find sustainable employment.
