Hayley Crebo joined us in September 2010. She
previously worked for Nextstep as a careers adviser, and is also
trained as a primary school teacher. She applied for the graduate
scheme to improve her career prospects and take up a new
challenge.
How are you finding the
scheme?
It’s a challenge, but with constant
opportunities to meet people, learn about all the different
contracts and utilise my skills. As well as working as a host and
with the business support team, I have recently started working as
a consultant with my own caseload and am using one day a week to
start working on a project which I have recently taken on. The team
in Exeter is incredibly hard working, and they have all
welcomed me and spent a lot of time supporting me in my new job
role.
What have you learnt and
contributed?
I have learnt a lot about the organisation,
the different job roles within the organisation and the part they
play in success. I actively contributed to the leadership
conference in Birmingham which was fantastic, and I'm now
starting to contribute more to the team and delivery as I start my
first project.
Would you recommend
us?
Absolutely. The graduate scheme has already
given me endless opportunities and I’m only in week eight! Anyone
with ambition, the ability to take knockbacks, willingness to take
on challenges, a positive approach and people skills should go for
it!
