The success of a project to get Cornish people back to work is to be highlighted at a national briefing in December. Working Links’ Regional Director for the South West is to speak at the Confederation of British Industry in London on Thursday 3 December.
Stockton South MP Dari Taylor has visited Working Links’ new offices in the area to find out how the company helps people back into work.
Working Links, a leading organisation that helps the long-term unemployed into work, is celebrating its achievement of supporting 10,000 jobseekers from Hackney back into work and helping them to turn their lives around.
After 25 months of delivering the DAF contract in Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway and Inverclyde Working Links has successfully won the re-tender of the contract from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
As the number of unemployed across the South West has risen to 182,000, Working Links has made a call to employers in the Plymouth area to give equal consideration to long-term unemployed candidates.
