Iain Duncan Smith MP visits Parkhead
Iain Duncan Smith MP, the former leader of the
Conservative Party, visited our Parkhead office in
Glasgow today - Tuesday 5 February.
Iain had a chance to meet with our Performance Manager at
Parkhead, Nick Young, as well as consultants Susan Patterson and
Sandra Barr. Two customers also had the chance to talk to Iain
about what they thought could be changed to make things better.
The media were also in attendance with the Guardian, the
Scotsman, STV, BBC Scotland TV, Newsnight Scotland, BBC Scotland
website, the Daily Record, the Scottish Press Association and BBC
Radio Scotland all speaking to our team and customers.
Iain was in Glasgow to launch a new report by the organisation
that he set up, The Centre for Social Justice. The report titled
'Breakthrough Glasgow' makes a series of suggestions to the
government for improving the
Welfare to Work situation in the city.
